Cambodia Trip: 2-6 June 2015

On 2-6 June, five NPCC cadets; Nigel, Wei Lung, Jasper, Minie and Amira went to Siem Reap, Cambodia for Junyuan Secondary's Cultural Immersion Programme with Boys Brigade, St' Johns Ambulance Brigade and the National Cadet Corps. It was a new experience for the students visiting a place never seen before. For the first day, we visited 2 Artisans Angkor sites; one is silk producing and another is sculpture making. Later the group visited Angkor Wat, which is a truly unforgettable experience as the temple is the world's largest religious monument, built with a Khmer architecture style, the monument is part of the Cambodian Flag. For the next three days, the students went to a local school to do VIA, it was split into 2 groups; one to paint an existing building, while the other taught Khmer children basic English.
